Founded in June 2004, Òrán Mór meaning 'Great Melody of Life' has introduced an exciting array of entertainment to Glasgow's West End, playing host to a fine and extensive plethora of events such as Club Nights, Comedy & Theatre Nights, Product Launches, Award Dinners, Charity Events, Wedding Ceremonies and Conferences.

'A Play, a Pie and a Pint' is one of Òrán Mór's major successes. Running for two seasons, this event showcases critically acclaimed plays by David MacLennan. Local actors including internationally renowned Robbie Coltrane and Dave Anderson have performed at this popular haunt for the West End's literature and acting community.

The main auditorium features a breathtaking celestial ceiling mural designed by local multi-talented genius Alisdair Gray. He is often found at Òrán Mór with pain brush in hand, perfecting his latest work of art. The Auditorium is one of Glasgow's favourite venues for wedding ceremonies. This magnificently ornate setting can accommodate workshops to formal banquets for 250 people. The Auditorium's facilities are second to none featuring a fully-equipped dedicated kitchen with a team of high calibre chefs, a private bar and reception area where guests receive impeccable service and a fine dining experience.

It has become a way of life for many West End residents - place to have breakfast or lunch, to relax with friends in the Whisky and Victorian Bars or to go clubbing at The Venue and The Buff Club.
